Marketing Manager - DTC & Brand Growth
Location: NYC-based, hybrid (3 - 4 days in office)
Compensation: $95K–$125K, depending on experience
My client, a fast-growing direct-to-consumer athletic brand based in New York City is hiring a Marketing Manager to help lead its next phase of growth. The brand is at an exciting inflection point, expanding deeper into its passionate market and growing in another category while building a strong connected community.
This role is ideal for someone well-versed in and excited by DTC brands. The team is seeking a creative, data-literate marketer who’s eager to own lifecycle marketing end-to-end, get hands-on with campaigns, and help shape how the brand connects with its customers. You’ll work directly with the founder and leadership team to plan, execute, and refine marketing initiatives across email, SMS, web, and content. You’ll have plenty of runway to grow as the brand scales.
What You’ll Do
Own lifecycle marketing across email, SMS, and CRM, driving customer engagement and repeat purchases
Write and build briefs, campaign copy, and creative direction for lifecycle content — from product drops to storytelling sequences
Partner with design and engineering to manage and optimize the Shopify site, ensuring seamless product launches, site updates, and ongoing CRO improvements
Coordinate content production: planning shoots, creating shot lists, managing timelines, and ensuring brand consistency across channels
Support social and community initiatives that bring the brand’s voice and values to life
Analyze campaign performance and customer data, surface insights, and run creative and landing page tests to continuously improve conversion and retention
Collaborate directly with the founder, advisors, and cross-functional partners to help shape both near-term execution and long-term strategy
Who You Are
3–5 years of experience in ecommerce or lifecycle marketing, ideally for a DTC brand.
Proficient in Klaviyo (or a comparable email/SMS platform) and comfortable managing CRM strategy and execution
Strong writer with a sharp eye for brand voice, detail, and storytelling
Familiar with Shopify: comfortable creating new pages, managing launches, and reading analytics
Taste-driven and creatively curious: you have a sharp design eye and high bar for visual storytelling that aligns with a premium brand aesthetic
You thrive in a fast-moving startup environment and have a bias for action — you move quickly through small tasks to make space for the big, meaningful projects that drive the business forward
Exceptionally organized: you love building systems and keeping moving parts on track
You’re excited by scrappy, all-hands-on-deck teams and take pride in doing work that matters
While not a must-have, ideally you have a personal connection to the world of athletics, wellness, or sports
