My client, AI Foundry is an AI consulting business working with some of the largest companies in the world. The team is building a foundation for the US team of a major global company operating across finance, consumer, and retail verticals.

The team is seeking someone who wants to be on the ground floor of something massive: designing and building multi-agent AI systems that will reshape how hundreds of millions of people interact with financial services, retail, and consumer products.

AI Foundry is looking for an architecture leader who sits at the intersection of technical depth and systems thinking. You understand how to design and scale large multi-agent AI systems, can demonstrate architectural patterns through code, and know how to raise the technical bar for global teams. This is ground-floor work with a small, sharp team where ambiguity is part of the job.

If you're excited about building AI products at unprecedented scale with a small, sharp team where your work will directly impact hundreds of millions of people, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and architect large-scale multi-agent AI systems serving hundreds of millions of users

  • Hold global engineering teams accountable to ambitious technical visions, demonstrating architectural patterns and raising the bar

  • Lead calls with overseas teams to review progress, present architectures, and provide technical guidance

  • Rapidly compose and scale multi-agent architectures using cutting-edge AI capabilities

  • Demonstrate concepts and architectural patterns through code when needed (you won't write production code constantly, but you need to be willing and able to code to prove a point)

  • Stay on the bleeding edge of AI development and continuously skill up as the field evolves

  • Work collaboratively across product, engineering, and with executive stakeholders

  • Ensure systems maintain best practices and sound design principles while pushing AI-native approaches

  • Travel to visit the client teams overseas periodically

Who You Are

  • Deep fluency with large multi-agent AI systems and agentic architectures; you understand how they work, how to compose them, how to scale them, and how to stay fluent as the field evolves

  • You know how to code and have built real systems at scale. You won't need to code constantly in this role, but you need to be capable and willing when needed

  • Experience rapidly composing and scaling multi-agent architectures with a strong understanding of the components, guardrails, and best practices

  • Comfortable thinking big; you can hold ambitious visions for systems serving hundreds of millions of users

  • Able to hold a high bar and push teams toward excellence without being a know-it-all

  • Hungry and scrappy, you figure things out, you don't wait to be told, and you get energized by challenges

  • AI-native in your approach, you use AI tools extensively in your own work and understand how to build AI-first systems

  • Strong communication skills: you can articulate technical concepts clearly and create documentation that guides teams across time zones

  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly skill up and stay on the cutting edge of AI (this field moves fast, and you need to move with it and remain a bleeding edge-expert)

  • Ability to argue for correctness from an AI-native perspective without losing sight of good systems design principles

  • Ability to sit in a room and confidently say "this is what I think is correct" when speaking to global leaders

  • Collaborative and collegial: you work through problems with others, you don't insist your way is the only way, and you can let things go and move forward

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and an ability to take confident action when there are missing details

  • Positive and solutions-oriented, you work around obstacles rather than dwelling on setbacks

Benefits and More

  • Competitive compensation

  • Medical and Dental benefits

  • 401K

  • Office space in Seattle with remote flexibility, we value quality candidates over location

  • Ground-floor opportunity to shape AI product strategy for 500M+ users

  • Direct reporting to leadership with minimal bureaucracy

  • Small, sharp team culture that uses AI extensively in our own work
